Guanxing Elementary School

Guangxing Elementary School is located in the southwest of Changhua, near Fangyuan, Zhutang and Dacheng townships. The fun study programmes combine our school’s MARKER courses with local features, allowing the children who take part in the outdoor courses to experience the charm of Changhua's west coast. This experience encourages them to reflect and give feedback on the ecological environment. Through cooperative learning and hands-on experiences, peers can record what they hear, see and learn through assistive technology and present it through various assessment methods such as code conversion. In addition, this outdoor program cultivates in the children a sense of local awareness, friendly agriculture, creative crafts and the attitude and ability to share across different domains. 

Route A: Embark on a journey to Wanggong Fishing Harbor to appreciate the intertidal zone and engage in oyster harvesting, gaining insights into the ecological chain of the natural environment. This experience aims to cultivate an understanding of environmental sustainability. Continue the exploration with a visit to the Fangyuan Oyster Art Center, where participants can delve into the culture of the oyster industry and join in the beauty of creating art from oyster shells. 

Route B: In the morning, engage in a creative experience at the Classroom of Guangxing Elementary School, crafting heat-transfer printed mugs and laser-engraved artworks. In the afternoon, visit the Xingjia Shiitake Mushroom Cultivation Farm and Orchid Garden. Gain insights into the cultivation processes of shiitake mushrooms and orchids, and participate in hands-on activities such as mushroom cultivation and changing the attire of orchids. This route offers a blend of creativity and agricultural exploration.
