Thanksgiving came to Dashin elementary school in Changhua county on November 24, 2022. Thanksgiving is a holiday in the United States where family and friends  come together to cook and share a meal together. With this idea in mind, teacher Amanda, with the cooperative efforts of administrators, teachers and staff at Da Shin school, worked hard to deliver the experience of an authentic Thanksgiving meal to the students. Popular traditional foods were prepared by hand, including caramelized sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing, corn, and apple pies. It was a memorable event for everyone,  marking teacher Amanda’s first thanksgiving in Taiwan and the first thanksgiving for students, their teachers, staff, and administrators in Taiwan’s Da Shin elementary school.
