Disaster Risk Reduction Education

Taiwan faces many disasters, both natural, like earthquakes and typhoons, and man-made, like fires. To reduce the impact of these disasters, the Ministry of Education in Taiwan promotes Disaster Risk Reduction Education. This education does not aim to stop disasters from happening but to lessen the harm they cause. The main idea is to teach people how to reduce the damage from disasters. The goal is to help people develop proactive disaster prevention behaviors. This way, when a disaster occurs, they can minimize its impact.
